Coup d'etat in Thailand
Checkmate. Thaksin is outmaneuvered. There is much rejoicing in the street.
It is unexpected, strange, seemingly anachronistic.
Some lament the death of democracy, yet some celebrate the 'rescue' of democracy.
Democracy. It is a word so overused, so cliche'. It means everything and it means nothing.
Some may hail the coup as heroic, final and total. In truth, it is an extremely risky venture. Most people underestimates the risk. We have taken the low road. It looks easy, for now. Let's hope we don't get waylaid by what we don't know.

Minor Update
Just add a couple of links to interesting blogs, and change the setting to allow comments from anyone ('twas for blogger user only previously, the default setting). Somewhat busy at the moment.
